Forward Lighting Comparison (Low Beams, High Beams, LED Pods)

I though this might be useful for anybody trying to determine if the lighting package, particularly the LED pods, are worth the cost. From my experience the factory LED pods have a nice, tight beam and are pretty bright. The construction and brightness of these lights seem to be on par with the higher end pods on the market. Using the attachment bolts it is relatively easy to aim the pods however you want. The light alignment below is how it arrived from the dealership. Also, the orange glow on the hood is due to the marker lights above the windshield. IMO this takes a bit to get used to while driving.

The rocks make a nice measurement tool for spread and the exposure makes a good indication for brightness in a particular area.

Interesting white balance. Thought you had an orange truck at first.

Probably reflecting from the orange marker lights above the windshield.

How is the visibility at night on Dark roads with just the low and high beams? And does it have auto-high beams?

Thanks for the pics and insight. What is your opinion on the drivers side pod, does it block view? Is so, am sure it can be moved more to the outside . I ordered the illumination due to everything else in the package, def worth to have it done by GM. Also how does the audio system sound??

I didnt feel as if the pods were obscuring any view from the drivers seat at all. I saw that another member was mentioning something about view, but that wasnt an issue for me.

As for the sounds system, it was your run-of-the-mill GM Bose system. IMO it sounds lackluster for a $110k truck, I would have expected the Bose Panaray from the Cadillac at the very least. The mid-range is muddy and the bass lacks punch and tightness. It would have been nice for the truck to be offered with a premium system such as B&O or Meridian (like is in the Rivian) or even a nicely tuned Harmon Kardon system. There is what appears to be a subwoofer under the rear seat, but I would be surprised to hear the system gets down to 50Hz.

Yes ~ I too would expect more for the price tag. So in order to keep all the electronics and displays intact, looks like a digital sound processor, a couple of amps and (2) TWO 10" or 12" subs under the back seat. If your saying the mids are muddy, probably have to swap out the speakers to some high end Hertz speakers or similar..... well disappointing. Thanks for the info H3TAlpha!
Could you upload some walk through a of the graphics, center screen and drivers screen? I heard they got some cool animations and would love to see them

I will be honest I'm a bit disappointed by the output of these. The LEDS my 21 Escalade had were amazing, not sure why gm didn't take some tech from Cadillac and throw it at hummer, especially since the hummer is actually more expensive lol. However nothing has come close to the matrix LEDs my German cars have. Hopefully when I (eventually lol) see in person it will seem brighter.
How are the LED Off-Road lights mounted and can they be removed after the vehicle has been delivered?
