Placing deposits on multiple vehicles and going for whatever shows up first, seems to be what a lot of folks have been doing. What vehicles do you guys have deposits on? I know not everyone will be patient enough for their Hummer delivery, but at least GM/Hummer seems to be improving things.

We have a Rivian R1T on order, Hummer EV, and Sierra Denali Ed. 1.

I was very hopeful for the Hummer EV to be in 2023. Honestly right around now in spring. I pre-ordered back in June of 2021. I just recently put in an order for the Rivian in January of 2023, and was one of the first 100 to but in an order for the Sierra Denali 2 days earlier than everyone else back on October 18th, 2022.

The huge delay has put a bad taste in my mouth for the hummer. I am honestly a bit more excited for the Rivian at this point, and expect that although I put in an order in January of this year for it, I'll have it before the end of the year if not very beginning of 2024.

I fully expect to just flip the Sierra Denali at this point hoping that it has a huge 2x or 3x MSRP bump like the Hummer did when it was first released.

I’ve got a Hummer 3X and a Denali ED1. I don’t think the Denali will be 2-3x MSRP, maybe a couple thousand but it’s not really comparable to the Hummer as far as hype goes…and in theory being the 3rd Ultium instead of the first will be less novel.

Although I did have a Rivian reservation and still have my Hummer reservation, I decided no more playing the reservation game. I ended up getting my wife a Mach E off a dealers lot within 2 months of looking for one. I will be getting the Hummer after a long wait, but when it comes time to get my wife a new car, we will find one that is already built. She is already hinting she would like to get a Lyric, but I will wait until they are readily available and see what the reliability is like. No more waiting.

My original Rivian reservation was nearly 5 years ago now, May 2019, and the truck I thought I would get will now not be built. Many of Rivian's promises and features never panned out and what they are offering now may end up being better in the long run, but all the changes and delays got really tiring. At least GM seems to have delivered what they actually promised in the beginning, even if it is late.

I have a EV3X SUT, 1st Edition Silverado RST, 1ST edition Hummer SUV, and the Denali truck... I really just want the Hummer SUT with all the newer features... As it is looking right now, I may end up getting the SUV 1ST and then maybe trade or sell it to get the SUT... The Denali would probably be more practical, but the Hummer is just too COOL...

Lyriq is a nice looking car, I have been seeing them around daily now, and the other night saw one in the dark, the night lighting profile is unmistakable, and quite attractive.

I just took delivery of an R1S last fall. Was originally supposed to be my wife's, but wound up getting her an Escalade in '21 so we sold my Model 3 performance instead. Hoping the Hummer gets us to an all electric household but we really like the Escalade for road rips. Got lucky to snag one with SuperCruise which is great.

Congrats on getting the R1S @smiesguy welcome to the forum! How has it been treating you since you took delivery? Have you ordered the Hummer SUV or Pickup?

A lot to like about the Rivian! Performance for an SUV that size is pretty incredible. Some early adopter challenges but nothing too major. My build was one of the first 1,000 for the R1S and it was solid. Only negative to date was wind noise from the triangle section of the windows. Rivian says it in spec but it’s very noticeable on the highway. Also, not necessarily a bad thing but you really need to drive the Rivian. It likes to meander around on the road a bit, generally following the curve of the lane. You have to stay alert.
I have a Hummer SUV ‘3X reserved. Last update was Fall ‘23, but I wouldn’t be sad if it slipped out a bit given how new our 2 cars are.
