The topic of the number of Edition One reservations there are in total has been much discussed here. The short answer is, we really don't know. Some people have estimates as little as 1,000, some have guessed as high as 10,000. Most assume its around 5,000 units max, but until GMC confirms that, we just don't know. They are very tight-lipped about this for now...probably because the actual number is fluid, i.e., if production goes better than expected, they may increase the number of Edition One's by taking more reservations from the Edition One waitlist (people who missed out on the E1's, but reserved a lower trim level to get on the E1 waitlist).
As far as the reservation numbers, we haven't been able to crack that one either. They don't seem to have an obvious methodology in the numbering, it could be random for all we know. Some guys/girls had numbers that started with 1, others 7, etc. They're all 6 digits, so they don't seem to be based on your place in line. Build priority starts at the very first reservation of the reveal night, and goes on from there.
