Agreed. I hope they don't water it down too much for production. This would be really sharp to produce.

Supercruise is going to be on almost all the well equipped cars in the future

Off topic, but did everyone notice the first edition SilveradoE has a leather wrapped dash?

Chevy has improved their Interiors on most of their recent new models, from the Corvette, the Tahoe, the Bolt EUV, the new Silverado ICE, and now this and the Silverado EV.

Interior designs have improved, but GM still tries to sneak in cheap materials here and there. This is a huge improvement though, and I love the Tesla shifter GM was listening to me... Yeah!!!

That would be expected considering you can get supercruise in the Bolt EUV.

The real news with the Equinox EV is that it will start at $30k. If the EV credits come back it could be as low as $22k (since it will be built in Mexico).

As a buyer of an Encore GX for my daughter I can tell you that GM has upped its interior game. Yea, there is some cheaper pieces here and there but for less than 30k it’s better than my old Pontiac G8!

As for the new shifter that looks like the one going into the Lyriq so the “feel” better be good as it is starting as a Caddy. Wish the Hummer had that as well to help free up the space in the console. It looks like the Hummer is using a shifter from the current 2022 trucks. I guess that’s another way to differentiate between the GMCs and Chevy trucks going forward is the location of the shifter? Just speculation obviously, but maybe the GMC buyer is more traditional in their likes (more chrome on the grill as well)?

Yes, GM interior designs are much better, but having a 2020 GMD Denali HD it is the worst interior in its class, both design and materials. The Hummer is much better, but still not perfect. As for the shifter in the Hummer, its for the macho look and more of a styling decision than practicality, the Silverado, and Lyric, and likely every GM vehicle going forward, is a more practical solution, and also having it close to the steering wheel is so handy in parking lots, and maneuvering situations. It is one thing about my Tesla I have grown to really like.

I do not think the GMC sierra EV will have much chrome, automakers are trying to get away from that due to environmental concerns. If I had to guess the GMC Sierra EV will be a more squared off version of the Silverado, and maybe slightly less efficient.

Just had the v6 version as I just loved being able to get an affordable but fun rear wheel drive sedan before the died off. One great thing of electric vehicles is the ease with which you can bring back rear wheel drive. I know VW does that and I hope GM can do that too. I know sedans are not popular so may not happen but at least Caddy will have a very expensive “sedan” in the Celestiq. A small Cadillac EV sedan would be awesome to compete with the Model 3!
