Has anyone else talked to their dealership about delivery speculation? I was at my GMC dealer today getting an airbag replaced, due to a recall. I asked one of the sales guys about when the expect the first Hummer, and he indicated November. No promises of course. Some news outlets seem to be speculating deliveries as late as December.

I am also just wait listed for the Edition 1, but he told me based on past experience with the C8 Corvette, there will be many cancelled pre-orders and I will likely move up a lot. That seemed like good news.

My dealer is just going on rumors and chatter, we likely know more the he does at this point, I had a phone call today from Flint MI, and got excited thinking it might be something, but nope, just one of my buddies. GM said they will start talking to customers 6 months before deliveries start, I expect to hear something very soon.

So I have a reservation in on the SUV EV Ex3 When I inquired with them if they were a bit sketchy about it, and said they didnt even know what it would cost (I'm assuming their cost.) That they were aware there was going to be a secondary market. Then They just couldn't commit etc, etc. I asked another Dealer that fairly local, and they basically said we don't know. Without all the BS and double talk. I put in my reservation under them. Went on the wait list for the 1st edition. Well I got a email from them as follows
It's been a couple of weeks since you inquired about a GMC HUMMER EV with XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX and we don't want to miss the opportunity to earn your business here at BBBBBBBBB!

I know sometimes speaking directly with a decision maker can help you feel more confident with your lease or purchase choice and I wanted to let you know I'm here to help :)

Please let me know your BEST OFFER from any dealer, or what you would like to accomplish; I'd love to put together a deal.

Kind Regards,

Sales Manager

Seems they be coming to a realization they are not the only game in town.

What knds of pricing have others found, Maybe a spreadsheet with dealer name, and their policy on MSRP?

Hate to say it, but probably an automatic email.

That is 100% an automated template. There are systems in place for our customer database to keep clients engaged if the salesperson is not doing their job. I would go as far as saying this person has no idea this auto email went out especially if they didn't reach out or follow up with it.

Oh I agree, I use the same type of systems in my business. Auto Emails, Text, voicemails etc all tied to an event or action. It wasn't the how it went out, but the we know we are going to have to earn your business in the tone of it.

You are reading too much into it considering you are a year or more down the list, just relax, and see how things play out. Heck a year from now you might even be able to get discounts from MSRP.

Well the "put together a deal" part is the giveaway. None of our CRM's right now really have a process for these order/reservation programs. The system has no idea it's a Hummer involved and a 3X at that so at least a year away. That's trying to get you in now to buy a car, a car the CRM has no idea doesn't exist.
