So I got full electric fully built email today! Not sure how long that means I have until delivery. Going to Dallas, Tx. But most likely going to live out on the east coast at my vacation home in the OBX where I plan to use it on the beaches out there.

But figured id go online and do some research and found this site. Excited to peruse it and find out all the info I can as the excitement is setting in that this might actually be a real thing happening lol. But thought id do a short introduction just because.

Welcome was your original timeframe ~ Winter 2022?

I would hazard to guess that's correct. When I did the "verify my order" late November dealer said they were hoping for a winter delivery but might be spring time before I actually get it. IDK If that was from GM or the dealer just making an assumption.

Just to update, dealer "hopes" to be getting a shipping notification by end of the week and I should be taking delivery before April! I'm growing incredibly excited for sure. Sadly with that news I will be turning my TRX into Carmax this weekend. Just to sell it before my stupid insane offer expires and ready my bank account to write the check. Of all the vehicles I have owned/own that had to be my favorite so far, the power, comfort and statement it made was such a perfect combo. Awesome off-road, addicting power, yet still comfortable enough to daily drive.

Hopefully I fall in love with the hummer just as much. But I had no idea trucks were pulling the kinda coin they are. They offered me 85k on a truck I paid 92k OTD over 18 months ago, put 35k miles on, and beat the ever loving piss out of lol. So spending 7k to drive a 700 hp truck through the dunes, tow my jet skis across the country, etc Helps me swallow dropping 120k on the Hummer lol. Makes me almost want to see what my other cars are worth.

When I got it 700 hp felt insane but I quickly got used to the power so im curious to see how the driving compares to the Hummer Ev. The TRX felt "heavy"but solid and planted and 700 hp def kept it light on its feet and the suspension on it was fantastic. Im hoping the power of the hummer can overcome 9000+ curb weight as well. From what I have read I'm not alone in making the switch from one super truck to another. Will report updates as I get them. Im literally losing sleep over its imminent delivery lol.

I am very anxious to hear your comparisons between the TRX and the Hummer as it is the only other vehicle tempting me right now. Please let us know.

Coming from a Raptor to a TRX, the weight is pretty pervasive - 5,800 vs. 6,700 lbs for my Gen 2 Raptor vs. TRX on the same scale. Despite being about the same size, the TRX just drives bigger (taller so doesn't fit in my work garage, worse turning radius, harder to see the corners, more likely to run over packages in your driveway (not that I would ever accidentally do that or anything)). Makes up for it with much better interior (gen 2 vs. TRX), power, good ride, and exhaust note.

Sounds like the Hummer drives a bit smaller than it is due to rear wheel steering and overall being shorter than the Raptor/TRX, but seems like it will be hard to mask the extra 2,300 lbs or so.

Thanks for the comparison. As a previous Gen2 Raptor owner, that definitely helps. The Raptor, for me, was underwhelming in the power department and I couldn’t get past the fake exhaust note. I don’t think the piped in audio the Hummer has will bother me as I know it isn’t trying to sound like something it isn’t.

Wow at least we know who owns the same type of trucks, I am a current Gen 2 Raptor owner. Just put a reservation in and am wanting for confirmation. I am a 3x holder so I am not too excited that I will see it before the end of the year. Maybe by Spring 2023 but website said late 2022. The Raptor I have is bringing crazy money now too.
