Blackwing paint same as the SUV??

I can't help but think this new color on the Cadillac Blackwing called Dark Emerald Frost will end up being the same paint on the Hummer SUV just different names. I know GM shares paint codes through their lineup with different names, but they are boasting on each of these models exclusive color. You tell me, but they seem pretty close. They are even marketing the care of Matte paints the same.

That looks good on the caddy, how much is the uncharge? do they clear wrap it?
$3925 for that paint option. I doubt they clear wrap it. It will be a late availability color from the release we saw today. They posted these instructions below so guessing there won't be a clear wrap.

Note that special care is required for matte paint, including:

  • Do not use waxes or any type of gloss enhancing product on low gloss paint finishes.
  • Commercial car washes with any type of brushes are not recommended.
  • Power or hand washing with soap and water with a towel, chamois, or air dry is the only recommended cleanup process for this paint.
Full special care instructions to be provided closer to production.

Thats not a bad price for Matte paint, some automakers charge that much for just a regular tri- coat job

Very true. It has to be the most GM has ever charged though I'm sure.

Matte is a PITA for the manufacture, 1 scratch, its re-painting, and then hard to blend and match, Cannot buff or polish, so it has to be a darn clean paint shop. Tesla could never do it with all the dirt they include in their paint jobs. haha!
Does anyone know if all edition 1s will be painted in that color or will there be other options ?
