I don't know about the extended warranty part @jghvette, but I'd be willing to bet big money that the standard warranty is going to be pretty substantial. Tesla Models S and X offer Battery warranties of 8 years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first), and the tech in those batteries isn't brand new. With GM recently saying that they were closing in on million-mile battery tech for their Ultium system, I'd expect a standard warranty of AT LEAST what Tesla has, and likely more. Minimum 10 years, 150,000 miles is my guess, but probably longer on both counts.
Any extended warranty will likely push it even beyond that. Car batteries are being engineered in a way that the battery will likely long outlast the vehicle itself.
