Apparently there is an issue with these new EVs that can have them randomly roll away from ya when parked.


If a voltage fluctuation occurs while the vehicle is parked and turned off, a command signal from the shifter control unit could disengage the parking pawl, potentially allowing the car to roll away.

Terrible design is cycling the parking pawl when first powered up
I am not sure why they use a mechanical parking pawl, instead of the brakes like Tesla does. Our E-Tron has the pawl too, always freaks us you when it rolls an inch or so to engage. Tesla is just locked when you park it, no rolling.
