Aftermarket Accessories

Has anyone seen anything from the aftermarket for the Hummer yet? If they are not adding the power tonneau like originally stated, has anyone thought about other tonneau options from the aftermarket? What about other accessories? Just curious I did a brief search over the weekend for a tonneau, but I didn't see anything right away.

I have seen all the GM accessories, but I was wondering if any of the aftermarket companies have anything out yet..... But as an aside, that jack and tire kit looks very puny for a 9000 lb truck.... I would want something much more like a floor jack if I was going to change a tire on this BEAST

My Jeep has a mesh sunshade when the top is off made by Spiderweb Shade. I plan on reaching out to them for an option for the Hummer. I think a company called Alien Shade makes a similar product.

Have it on my jeep and love it. Great product and protect against sunburning.

The Multipro Tailgate is a carryover from other GMC trucks so you can get the Kicker audio system or a light kit as aftermarket. I'm also watching for other aftermarket items (carpeted mats, lights, etc.), but until these actually hit the streets, there's not much available other than what GMC Accessories offers. I went through the same thing with my Corvette. Getting an early C8 meant I had limited options; now the aftermarket is abundant.
Yeah I was wondering about other tonneau options... The power tonneau looks/sounds nice, but there are many different types/styles for other trucks, so I was wondering if GM would share specs and what not like cell phone manufacturers do so they can have cases ready as soon as the new model comes out...
With @Dark-Fx having issues with his power tonneau, several people have mentioned the Back-flip tonneaus, but are there any manufacturers that are making tonneaus for the Hummer yet.... Right now with there being so few out there, I was wondering. I like the idea of the power one, but it takes up space at the front and looking for other options that are more secure than the soft one.

Market is probably too limited, especially when there are OEM options. If there was a local company interested in making a nice low profile one, I'd probably consider reaching out.
That's what I was thinking as well... Especially right now when there are only handful out there and the bed size/configuration (with the sail panels) does not match up with any other vehicle on the market...

I was wondering too about swapping the factory Nerf Bars/ steps for Amp Reasearch power steps... Just curious how that would look... I know that it would definitely not work for SERIOUS off roading...

The steps seem to be bolted into the bottom of the body, so wouldn't think drop down steps make sense here unless you want them even lower than the body. BTW that second shot taken from instagram has the car at $325k (somewhere).

the BAKFLIP MX4 is a great hard tonneau alternative. I am sure they BAK industries is hard a work already. These run around $1000. Bboozer1, I am with you, with a vehicle like the EV1 I would want the electric tonneau. Hopefully Dark-fx gets a quick fix to his, which is probably ice.
