I find it VERY hard to believe they are going to produce 20,000 this year. That means they'll have to produce 55 a day, every day, and they'd have to have 2356 built already.

I was wondering if the Hummer EV delivery schedule would be accelerated following GM’s announcement that they’ll be making a lot more Hummer EVs this year than previously expected.
As per the email, my Edition 1 is expected to arrive Fall 2022, but I would think that if they’re making 6x as many this year as originally planned, I might get mine late Spring or Summer? There can’t be so many Edition 1 Pickups that even with 20,000+ Hummer EVs produced I’m waiting until Fall?
I think 20K will break down more like 700 in Q1, 1500 in Q2, 6000 in Q3, and 12K in Q4, they need the battery supply from Lordstown before you will see a big ramp. Right now there are only 205 hourly workers in Factory Zero, that will ramp to 1000 by the end of the year.I find it VERY hard to believe they are going to produce 20,000 this year. I really have no idea, none of this has gone off the way I expected, so I think we just have to wait and see rather than speculate.Tom, do you believe they will manufacture more Edition 1s or move on to 3X as they look to ramp up production beyond expectations?
From a GM standpoint I don't know if it matters to them. 3X versus Edition 1 at this point is a badge difference and a couple of options you can add to the 3X. GM will probably limit the Edition 1s so they are "special". I guess technically we haven't seen what a 3X, 2X and 2 looks like. But given their pricing I assume they are identical with motor, battery, suspension differences.Tom, do you believe they will manufacture more Edition 1s or move on to 3X as they look to ramp up production beyond expectations?
I was wondering the same thing, but it seems like they would want the Edition 1's to get into their respective owners hands before others started getting their EV3X's.... That's just my opinion I guess... But IF I was and Edition 1 reservation holder, I would be MAD if I had to wait until late Fall for my truck to be delivered and people who did not get a reservation in on time were getting their EV3X's and I was still waiting... That's just my 2 cents of course (and I am waiting for an EV3X).... BUT the EV3X will come in other colors I am fine with waiting, but I do wish I could get the Lunar White of the Edition 1From a GM standpoint I don't know if it matters to them. 3X versus Edition 1 at this point is a badge difference and a couple of options you can add to the 3X. Hmmmm.... surprised you haven't actually ordered with the winter 2022 notice/...... Please let us know when you actually go to your dealer and place the order.....My reservation has a delivery date of Winter 2022 and GM assured me that meant between now and March 2022 and I have not heard anything yet since confirming my reservation at the dealer at the end of December 2021.
I would bet you a 3X upgraded to Edition 1 specs will cost more then the Edition 1, and the reason is there has been a lot of inflation and cost pressure since GM announced the pricing for the Hummer EV, but GM won't change the prices they quoted yet, but on option packages you better believe they will try to gain some of that back. From a GM standpoint I don't know if it matters to them. 3X versus Edition 1 at this point is a badge difference and a couple of options you can add to the 3X. I was thinking the same thing, that an EV3X accessoried up to Edition 1 specs would most certainly cost more than an Edition 1 at this point... Inflation and material prices have certainly changed a lot since Fall of 2020I would bet you a 3X upgraded to Edition 1 specs will cost more then the Edition 1, and the reason is there has been a lot of inflation and cost pressure since GM announced the pricing for the Hummer EV, but GM won't change the prices they quoted yet, but on option packages you better believe they will try to gain some of that back.
Options that I doubt be available on 3X, that are exclusive to Edition 1, Lunar themed interior, interior colors, exterior color combination. Duncan Aldred stated a while back those on the Edition 1 waitlist will get an Edition 1 if that still want it, So I think it's clear GM is going to build more of them then they initially planned for those that want them.
I can't imagine they would deliver the 3X before completing the Edition 1 builds. The only reason it might happen in reality is painting. They'll have to start painting I assume the different colors of the other versions and they will have to do test paintings of the different color(s). So it might be possible for some to "slip" out of order.I was wondering the same thing, but it seems like they would want the Edition 1's to get into their respective owners hands before others started getting their EV3X's.... No kidding. This is straight off the Bureau of Labor inflation calculator site.I was thinking the same thing, that an EV3X accessoried up to Edition 1 specs would most certainly cost more than an Edition 1 at this point...Inflation and material prices have certainly changed a lot since Fall of 2020
You are going from the year 2000 to the year 2022, so that's not accurate. xDNo kidding. This is straight off the Bureau of Labor inflation calculator site. View attachment 1731
Sorry, didn't see this before. I did confirm the reservation back in Dec which is when I got the Winter 2022 delivery notice. I have not received notice that the truck has been built yet though. Hoping that comes very soon.Hmmmm.... surprised you haven't actually ordered with the winter 2022 notice/...... Please let us know when you actually go to your dealer and place the order.....
