It was a year ago to the date that our anticipation was finally rewarded with the Hummer EV SUT reveal!

Has your opinion on the truck or SUV changed (for better or worse) since then?

I’m honestly just very excited to get my hands on mines my opinion has only been better on it the more I see it. Obviously there’s things I wish was better such as range but this is there first whack at it so it will only improve over time . I really hope the hummer and EV”s are very successful for GM I would hate for the hummer to return to just go away again. I just really hope they don’t make us wait past new year the agony will destroy me 😂

More than likely you will be waiting past Jan 1 2022, I think likely only a few hundred will be delivered this year.

I am less excited now, the truck is too heavy, and as much as I have timed WTF videos I am yet to see one at 3.0 seconds, most are more like 3.4, which is what the online drag race calculator says it should be for the weight and power (as I posted as soon as we heard the curb weight). Also for me the lack of power off boarding, and not having the Ultifi system are disappointing, also the low payload and towing (?) will not suit my needs, my HummerEV will likely head off to auction not too long after I get it, and I will have to stay with the diesel for now.

So I wasn't the only one timing those in videos, that's also the time range I was seeing 3.4 to 3.6 Maybe the 3.0 time is with driver only and not 2 passengers?

anything is possible, but using simple math, GM sold 1 year of production in Edition 1 vehicles (assumed 10K), meaning about 800 per month at full production, which will likely not hit until March or April 2022 as the battery supply starts to ramp up. I think we will see about 500 built before the end of the year, and likely 250 or so delivered. That means all things equal, your odds are long to get one this year, as only + or - 3% of edition 1st will be delivered. Again all things equal you have a 97% chance not to get it this year. Just being realistic.

Ya, I do not think the 3.0 is realistic, the drag race simulator said no, and videos confirmed. GM would have to be lying about the weight or HP for 3.0 to be possible. I see on its best day 3.3ish with my wife driving, which is still quicker than any truck that big should be.

Ok let’s hope before spring then 😂

I suppose anything is possible, I mean a rusty old Chinese sub might sink the Seawolf, but not very likely.

My wife already freaks out when I do launch control in the TRX, it’s definitely faster than a wide, heavy truck should be. I’m more interested in the open air experience of it more than anything.
