I ordered an AWD 2023 Lyriq in May 2022, and the dealer called me yesterday to say my build will now be a 2024, with a $5k discount. I was not given an option for a 2023. It also remains uncertain if it still gives me priority in line, or if I’ve simply been moved to the back of the line.

GM had always said AWD would be only in the 2024 model year vehicle, the Launch Edition are the only 2023's, no options on those.

First and only comment in the Hummer forum about a completely unrelated topic raises my FUD flag.

Hi @jgu2160 Welcome, if you want to talk about the Lyriq I suggest you head over to Lyriq Forum where plenty of Lyriq reservation holders and owners are talking about the vehicle. They can help fill you in on the details. I'm also over there helping out.

To answer your questions, your dealer should have given you a private link to build your 2024 model year Lyriq and they would enter it into the work bench. The 5K discount was offered to 23 MY holders who were accepted by GM, you will see the Private 5K offer at time of purchase. GM has 3 manifest lists of the people and VINS the 5K offer is linked to. Oh and lastly your place in line hasn't changed, that's up to your individual dealer to keep their own lists.
