The EV3X will be fully configurable with all the same capability options as Edition One. It will have the option of the larger battery and Watts To Freedom mode that also brings the extra HP and will get the additional off-road upgrade options and most anything else. Same with the modular transparent sky panel roof — it’s an available option. GM confirmed this not too long ago when they were contemplating building more Edition Ones. Edition One is fully optioned with the exception of the 37” tires and extra off-road package/ extract mode and leads off initial production and deliveries. Requests for Edition One have been unexpectedly high so they were contemplating adjusting production plans to extend more fully loaded trucks or Edition Ones in the initial phase. It may not truly impact the roll-outs of other trims since many in the EV3X camp are wanting fully loaded trucks. In terms of capability features, those can be added to the lower trims with all available on the 3X. Edition One may also have a price advantage over optioning up an EV3X all the way. A GM rep hinted at that in one of the walk-around videos I saw when they said they had not finalized options pricing. They also confirmed that white is an available color on all trims, but it seems the lunar white metallic is probably only on Edition One or will only be available when paired with the Lunar Landscape interior if that is extended to the other trims as an option.
Of course lots can still change over the next several months until GM gets into actual production.
