GM Authority has shared some new information about the Cadillac Lyriq AWD.

  • Lyriq Luxury AWD only available in Satin Steel Metallic (paint code G9K) and Stellar Black Metallic (paint GB8), similar to the Debut Edition model.

The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is the luxury marque’s very first all-electric vehicle, offering the traditional Cadillac luxury and prestige in conjunction with a long list of high-tech features and a cutting-edge, battery-driven powertrain. At launch, the Cadillac Lyriq will be equipped with a single-motor, rear-wheel drive powertrain, while early next year, the crossover will be offered with a more-powerful, two-motor all-wheel drive setup good for 500 horsepower. Now, GM Authority has exclusive details on the upcoming 2023 Cadillac Lyriq AWD trim level.

According to GM Authority sources, the new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD trim level will feature an 11.5-kW charging capacity that will add upwards of 37 miles for each hour of charging. For reference, the Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition includes a 19.2-kW charging capacity that adds up to 52 miles per hour of charging. Additionally, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD trim level will feature DC Fast Charging capable of providing 76 miles per 10 minutes of charge, the same as rear-wheel drive trims.

Outside, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD trim level will run a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, while 22-inch rollers will not be offered. To note, the Lyriq Debut Edition is equipped with 20-inch wheels as standard, while 22-inch wheels are optional. The Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD will only be available in Satin Steel Metallic (paint code G9K) and Stellar Black Metallic (paint GB8), similar to the Debut Edition model.

With regard to equipment, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD trim level will include the Trailering prep package as standard, as well as Non-illuminated door sill plates (the Lyriq Debut Edition includes illuminated door sill plates). In the cabin, the Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD will include an Auto-dimming rearview mirror, but no Rear Camera Mirror, which the Lyriq Debut Edition includes as standard. Finally, the AWD model will include the Power liftgate without hands-free operation, while the Lyriq Debut Edition has a hands-free liftgate as standard.

Look for the the Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD to become available in January of 2023. Under the skin, the Cadillac Lyriq features GM’s Ultium battery and Ultium drive motor technology, with the BEV3 platform providing the bones. Lyriq production is underway now at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
